
The companies in the REAL ESTATE sector that make up a branchof Grupo Ortiz have been operating in the market since 1993. They took advantage of the real estate boom our country was enjoying in those days and constructed and marketed numerous housing developments, both private and subsidised, primarily in two centres for urban development in Madrid: in Ensanche de Vallecas and in Vereda de Ganapanes. Our work in these areas was constant, not just in the construction phase, but also in the initial approach and future planning of projects. This expertise allowed us to have a firm grasp on the market conditions and know when to offload investments on shaky ground just as the market began to show signs of weakness.
This expertise, already clearly established by 2005, has allowed the companies within Grupo Ortiz to dedicate themselves exclusively to the development and construction of subsidised housing and resist the sector-wide crisis with solvency. The REAL ESTATE Area of GrupoOrtiz includes the following companies: ORTIZ Construcciones, ORTIZ Área Inmobiliaria, AGRICASA, PRORAX, El Arce de Villalba and Superficie Cartera de Inversiones.
In the last several years, Grupo Ortiz has completed nearly 10,000 subsidised residences, located largely in developments within Madrid or in its local Community.

In the past business year, 1,723 of the subsidised housing units marketed were rented, rented with an option to buy in areas like Paracuellos del Jarama, Parla, Alcalá de Henares and Colmenar Viejo, or were under construction, such as those being developed in Collado Villalba, Alcalá de Henares and Móstoles, all in the Community of Madrid.
Through its development companies, Grupo Ortiz is also involved in other lines of business, thanks to the acquisition of rural lots, parcels, car parks, stores and offices, all of which make our REAL ESTATE Area, together with Construction and Energy, one of the pillars of our growth and stability.
