EDIFICIO ESPAÑA

The reform of the Edificio España is one of the largest restructuring projects carried out in the country.

With a neo-baroque style doorway, it was built in 1953 and was the project of the engineer José María Otamendi and his brother, the architect Julián Otamendi, and presents a stepped silhouette in four heights.

The Edificio España has 29 floors, is 117 meters high and includes more than 77,000 square meters of surface area.

It is the eighth tallest building in the Spanish capital, and together with the neighbouring skyscraper ‘Torre de Madrid’, is one of the most important architectural complexes of the city.

The restructuring will last for thirteen months.
