GRUPO ORTIZ, as part of a consortium with INVEX INFRAESTRUCTURA SALUD and CORPORATIVO DE HOSPITALES, has been awarded the contract for the construction, equipping and provision of complementary services for the second level “AQUILES CALLES RAMÍREZ” General Hospital in TEPIC, NAYARIT for a period of 25 years under a Public-Private Partnership model.

Ortiz Construcciones y Proyectos, along with the companies INVEX Infraestructura Salud y Corporativo de Hospitales (the “Consortium”), participated in Open Public International Mixed Tender No. APP-019GYN006-E5-2017 (the “Tender”), called by the Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE), for the purpose of awarding the contract for the provision of services under a Public-Private Partnership model for the project to replace the “Aquiles Calles Ramírez” General Hospital in Tepic, Nayarit, for which the Consortium was awarded the tender. 


The project represents an approximate investment of $1.5 billion pesos. The new facilities will have 26,000 m2 built across 5 floors, 150 beds, consultancies and surgery to provide for 250,000 inhabitants in 33 specializations that will be provided by the ISSSTE through their team of doctors. 


It is also worth pointing out that the Consortium's bid was made under an Unsolicited Proposal (PNS) model in the terms of the Law on Public-Private Partnerships. 


Grupo Ortiz began operating in the area of concessions in Mexico in 2011 and it has already completed a number of energy and construction projects in the country.
