The mayor of Estepona, Malaga, signed yesterday with Julio Ramirez, representative of the Temporary Consortium formed by formed by Ortiz Construcciones y Proyectos, S.A. and Ingeniería y Diseño Técnicos, S.A.U. the service contract of beach cleaning, waste disposal and treatment, as well as the conservation, maintenance and restoration of green areas including maintenance and cleaning of street furniture and fixtures.

The mayor highlighted that with this indirect management service contract the public services will be improved, without any cost for the citizens; at the same time, with an important treasury “saving”.

The improvements to be done during this contract, planned to be in 4 years, include better beach facilities in order to install and maintain bath modules, guard installations and health care.

For the purchase of decoration elements, 100,000 euros will be assigned, and before the third year of this contract, 6,000 trees will be planted. Cleaning and maintenance of public green areas will also be done in “Los Pedregales” Park.

The mayor affirmed the consistory will fulfill the payment of these services, as already done with other companies, in order to not generate more public debt.
