Grupo Ortiz occupational risk prevention policy is based on, among others, the following points:

• The fulfilment of the legislation and the regulation in force in the area of Occupational Risk Prevention.

• The commitment to obtaining a high level of health and safety in the workplace, based on the principle of continuous improvement in preventive actions.

• The responsibility for prevention management is incumbent on all the organization, although it must be initiated, developed and supported by the top people in charge of the company.

• And in coherence with other policies that promote the well-being of employees.

In order to develop the principles marked out in the Policy of Occupational Risk Prevention, Grupo Ortiz has implanted an Occupational Risk Prevention management system in accordance with the standard OHSAS 18001:2007.As a result of these premises, it can be affirmed that Grupo Ortiz has as its fundamental principle the health and safety of its workers, a commitment in which we are working through the development of initiatives in each one of the lines of business, directed mainly to the sensitization of employees and continuous training in the area of prevention and occupational hazards, as well as in the implantation of processes and preventive systems that allow advances in this matter. In order to secure our objectives, we have never scrimped on economic, human or material efforts.

By the very nature of the work, the business area with the greatest occupational risk is construction. Ortiz Constructions, our construction company, has elaborated an Occupational Risk Prevention Programme, has its own Joint Prevention Service and a Health and Safety Committee besides its own Company Medical Service.
