In the Solem I and Solem II project, Grupo Ortiz has carried out the construction in EPC mode of a solar PV plant in Mexico executed in two phases of 168MWp and 180MWp, and will also carry out its subsequent operation and maintenance, as well as the interconnection through a 230 kV line.

One of the largest solar PV projects in Latin America
Solem I and II make up one of the largest solar PV projects in Latin America, with an area of over 1,035 hectares of land. For the construction of the plants, 1,050,000 latest generation photovoltaic panels of 330 wp/unit were used, installed on solar trackers with a horizontal axis.

Boosting the region's economy
Grupo Ortiz has hired local personnel during the execution of the works as well as the participation of local and own companies from the region during the construction phase and subsequent operation and maintenance. An average of more than 600 local workers have been employed in construction work, with peaks of 1,500 workers.
